Why Take Part in Research?

Taking part in research is a chance to share your experience, help improve services, and support others in their recovery. It can also help you build confidence, develop new skills and have your voice heard.

You can choose how involved you want to be and every contribution matters. When you take part in research, it helps us understand what works, what matters, and what could be better.

GLAD: Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression

In the GLAD Study, people take part by signing up online, completing questionnaires about their wellbeing, and sometimes providing a saliva sample from home. This is to help understand the influence our genes have on the development of anxiety and depression.

“As someone who’s struggled with their own mental health, I am fully supporting the GLAD Study… I want to encourage as many as possible to sign up and contribute to the fantastic outcomes it will hopefully achieve for mental health developments.”
